From the Troglodyte kitchen hallway, traverse the oculus and head up and out of the archway.
There are several variations of this route. To remain on Defiance you should end up climbing on two of the giant hanging stalactites before heading up and out of the archway.
One variation of Defiance has a crux start that begins higher up at the Map room, requiring more desperate traverses. Another goes around the backside of the arch with options of finishing behind, or returning back inside at a higher point to finish the route. All are about the same difficulty if not slightly easier
