Traverse left beneath Davy Jones' Locker to reach a long arete that reaches up and out of the deepest part of The Dome's slab.



Likely the most famous way to exit the gym. This route climbs up the far left end of the gym's rock wall.

This route climbs the featureless wall that rises out of the pit within The Secret's massive cave.

Starts where Shark Fin ends, then goes down a bit before going up the left side of the waterfall.

Similar to Es Pontas, however, it features a rightward traverse before the top-out. According to Delta, this may be the hardest route in the Cairn Demo. Lime’s buffless ascent video linked here is extremely impressive.

Another route of legend, Es Pontas traverses beneath Mt Tenzen's bridge.

This classic ascends the slab on east of Mt Tenzen.

This route climbs up the thin book to reach the eggs on the small plateau.

This route climbs up through the vines on the large and lonely boulder in The Escarpment.

One of the hardest and longest aid lines in the game. This route climbs the ocean of granite to the right of No Mercy.

The hardest boulder problem in the game. Ceiling Fan climbs completely upside down from one end of the crypt to the other.

A straight line directly up the needle starting to the right of the carvings at the bottom of it. Stay as vertical as possible, and try to avoid diagonal movements on the way up. A near straight line is possible for most of the route.

This route climbs only the west side of The Needle to reach the top.

A long climb originally designed for competition, The Corkscrew is a very difficult buffless challenge.

This four pitch route climbs from the dihedral right of the first bivouac all the way to the top. It also completely avoids the cutscene with Marko

Beautiful line in front of the guardian's head (well, it's a tree more than a head) with a difficult start in the first crux, a slab traverse. Then, a vertical crack connects the first crux with the extense overhang, that continues until reaching the stone stalactite.

A fun, challenging boulder! From The Palace of the Wind savepoint in the tomb, start on the pillar under two prominent cracks. Climb up this pillar, transition onto the ceiling crack formation, and traverse to the adjacent pillar. Downclimb back to the ground, and pray you don't get cursed.

This route stays in the channel to the right of the Palace of Winds entrance until it reaches the colored banner high on the upper wall.

This route finds the shortest line up from the bottom door of The Palace of Winds to the upper window by climbing up the right side.

Rappel over the edge at the start of The Palace of Winds to climb up this cool hidden overhang.

This route begins on the arete near The Ancient statue's left foot and climbs up and out over the roof.


follow the zig-zagging line above the Bear Cave. This climb sadly ends with an out of bounds reset if you do not have the OOB Nexus mod. It’s still good fun though, even if it ends lie a cartoon might.

If you must get away from Marko, consider leaping over this gap onto the wall. It won’t help

A chill, somewhat lengthy, route starting just left and beneath the goat remains past the mirror lake spawn. Relatively low effort, aside from a few slabs with no holds. Finish the route holding the spine of the stone and top out by the goat skull

Low exposure boulder slab directly above The Terraces save point. Start in the crack bottom right of the problem, find away around and over the boulder, and top out on the small foothold above.

This route climbs up the right side of the mural and follows the crack hidden within the bushes across the ceiling.

Down climb or rappel down to the base. Crux is towards the end by the right side near the top boulder (that red part at the end) but it’s not too bad. Must pick up Pika at the end!


Inside the smaller cave just under the arch by the standing stones with bear claw marks in the walls and a body. Route ends at the beehive (make sure you have bag space to loot it!)

This route crosses diagonally left to get up and over the roof near the bee hive.

This hidden classic by Daarmo begins at the top of the arch and moves upward and across several roofs. There are also many other challenging ways to end this route.

Follow the traverse through the waterfall and collect the wild garlic. Then climb up through a small overhang and up the crack. Next traverse left through the cracks behind the vines and mantle at the end

It starts as soon as you can start climbing to the right, and continues as a traverse to the left as far as you can go. Stay as low as possible! The crux is the slab traverse shown in the picture. This is meant to be a silly, challenging, and free solo friendly route, so have fun!

Climb up into the left side of the cave, follow it out and cliimb up toward the top of the left side of the cave.

This three-pitch green-colored route requires you to leap onto the wall, climb up to the ledge, round the backside, traverse, and then climb above the cave. At the top you’ll reach The Shortcut Bivouac


Starting just beyond the vending machine, underneath the tree, begin climbing the arête's until summit. Dead fun route

Walk left from the bivouac site below the broken vending machine. The route runs along the right of The Blindest Eye, down below Second Sight. The start and end points are approximately the same as Big Cheese.

Rappel down the western ledge to the grass below. From there, climb up the arete through the leaves while staying left and end at the grass with the vending machine.

A great second pitch to The Blindest Eye. Begins up a short slab on the western side of The Escarpment (left of the vending machine). Staying left, continue up the obvious aretes toward the top.

Just to the left of "Shrubbery Warrior" Not sure if possible without buffs. Tried but can't do it. Quite easy with buffs, just follow the ridge. No feet holds all the way up. Hand holds only!

Nothing complicated, follow the outcropped ridge, when you get near the top out, follow the overhanding cliff and climb up the left side.

A short and sweet bouldering route, moving through a bush-covered arete. Despite seeming so, the ledge at the beginning doesn't appear to have a rest.

A decently short, not too difficult route that features a few hold-less or invisible hold sections.

Nothing too hard on this route, as there are many rests along the way. It does, however, have an interesting line to a mini bushfighter-like top out.

An interesting little climb on the side of the mountain right after the opening titles. There are a few low tier cruxes and problems to solve, as well as many hidden holds--with bushes to obscure them. Leads directly to the start of "The Hook" above the bivouac in the Escarpment.


On the upper tier of The Escarpment, on the east side of the first slot canyon is an arete covered in vines. Climb up it.

This route climbs up the vine-covered arete, to the right of the slot canyon.

This route climbs up through the vines on the right of The Escarpment's bivouac.

A fairly simple climb that begins with a quick scramble up to the first ledge, on which rests a lightly colored bush. From there it proceeds diagonally, meeting with Creeping Death, to the final corner which is the top out.

Pelican traverses out left at the bottom of the waterfall area before climbing across delicate slab and finishing out on a long arete.

A two-pitch route that climbs up the arete covered in vines on the second. At the very end of the vineway you’ll need to do a deadly traverse to the left grabbing onto another arete

From the bivouac beside the abandoned tents, climb up to the Trout Cave using the dihedral with water running down it.

This route ascends The Split Rock's largest waterfall.

This route climbs up verical cracks on the east side of the arch.

Begins above Gabriel’s corpse and stays as true to his line as possible. Finishes at the highest standable point

Recommended route for speed climbers. Named to bring luck. For clarity, although the image shows multiple tiers, this route begins on the tier beneath the top. The start is located on the West face, furthest climbable route to the right.




Begin at on the interior of the right rock and climb straight up and out through the leaves.

Begin on the left rock’s interior. Go straight up and out through the leaves.

This route serves as an excellent second pitch to “Edge Rider.”

Climbs the furthest left corner of the falls. For a trickier ascent, don’t use any flat rocks.


On the far western end of the waterfall area, just below the village, climb up to Backpack Ledge. Begin on the arete hanging over the backpack. Follow a series of these aretes up to an unclimbable roof. To pass the roof you’ll need to traverse right, climb up, around and then head back left. There’s an amazing traverse here. Make it across and then continue up and out beside the tree.

Begins immediately left of “Snake Eater.” Follow up the series of aretes. Once you hit the roof, head left and follow up the final crack system

A variation of “What A Thrill” that crosses over the “River of Sorrow” route by DeadNerves. This route shares the start with “What A Thrill,” but instead of turning and heading back left at the roof, go beneath it, finishing up on the right side under the tree. If both lines were drawn together, you would see a cross beneath the roof


A great first big wall for those transitioning into harder climbs. This route ascends the massive granite wall east of Village.

This three-pitch route follows both in-game black-colored lines beginning at “The Boulder Problem,” near the cave bivouac and ending on the far east side

Starting from the right arm of “The Child” climb the massive flake up toward the Doll Parts.

Down the hole near the Bivy. This grants access to loot the hanging bodies beneath the bridge

Descend to the bottom of the hanging bodies and climb back up through them, looting as you go.

Rappel down by the bridge and start right above the black circle of doom

This is the most direct line to the top of the blades that avoids ice.

This creative route begins at the entrance to Damas's Cave and traverses clockwise around the walls without touching the floor.

Located a bit down from kami save point near Mjolnir. A long diagonal with no hold on last 30% of the route. Pure ice as ever

The route is located to the left of Stardust. The route consists of chimney climbing and featureless slabs. Chalk and buffs are necessary. Unfortunately, it is not possible to reach the summit via this exact route, as you are teleported onto the normal route shortly before the top. However, with a slight variation, if you climb far enough to the left to avoid being teleported, you can reach the summit on this route.

Above the route "Hades" Nearly to Oob on the left Beautiful small thin line of ice. Follow the edge with ice axes and crampons to the right down below. At the jonction don't reach the right rock or you will walk and break the climb. Stay on the left side then aim the ice above. As every ice route it's more tasty buffless 🧊 😎🧊

This route is located just left of The Black Death. It is the most straight line leading to the top of the wall with a short traverse right near the top.

The route is located on the hill next to the one where the save point is. Chalk or other buffs are not required to complete the route, but especially in the chimney-like section it is highly recommended to use chalk, as there are no footholds or handholds available.

This route is located at the far east end of The Sea of Seracs, beginning beneath ice bridge and climbing up through blank ice slopes.

This route climbs the left end of the massive ice sheet to the west of The Sea of Seracs.

This route climbs the center right of the massive ice sheet to the west of The Sea of Seracs.

This route climbs the thin ice section in the center of the monolithic black rock far to the west.

Loki shares the first half with The White Spider, but takes a more interesting traverse left moving through an icy overhang.

A short rock and ice climbing route. Not too difficult with chalk. Try to avoid the ledges in the wall so you don’t accidentally stand up.

This route goes beneath the stalactites to the south of the Peril and climbs along the aretes of the south face to reach The Dome.

The Chocolate Chimney is located at the far left wall near some steps. Climb up through it and finish out on the right wall.


This route traverses beneath the center of the balcony on the south side of The Dome and goes straight over the middle.

This route traverses around to the back side of the dome and goes straight up the center to the top.

The route starts on a small terrace and goes up through a long, straight chute to another, even smaller terrace. The second half of the route is a bit harder and ultimately leads to a backpack with unique loot that is definitely worth the climb.

This route begins on The Child’s right leg but at the thigh it traverses left into the dihedral behind. Slab climb up the dihedral and exit behind The Child’s right arm.

A nice line of blue ice. Mainly no holds pure strike and stamina management. The ice spikes balcony is the crux. Sweet ice, sweet climb.

Kenji's masterpiece: Frostbite. It ascends through Kami's top-most southeastern face. It is the longest ice route near the summit, decorated with pure blank blue ice. and only a touch of dry land. "Aim for the edges of the ice volumes. Crampons zip almost all the way. Trust your ice tools. Take rest frequently. Go slow. Go precise. And prepare for a long road into a frozen hell ❄️🙏"

This classic ice route begins within the ice cave at the Immaculate and climbs the direct, overhanging balcony of ice.

Within the cave is another long ice line with a thin part in the middle (no rock allowed). Start on flat ice wall.

On the far eastern side of Kami there’s a bridge of ice leading into a cave. Inside, a trail of ice and snow leads up and out. Follow the snow and ice only.

Serving as an excellent second pitch of Tombstone, HADES ascends the ice monolith in the west, high above The Sea of Seracs.

This route climbs the furthest right arete to the top of the giant black stone.

The ice counterpart of Widowmaker with tricky and technical pathways. 2% is on dry land, the rest follows icy blue frost, that cruxes out at an overhang.


This overhand ice climb is on the western side of The Blades, a route that ascends the underside of an ice bridge.

This short slab route by the lake starts between the two small boulders and climbs to the top.

Ascend the inner center of the arch's south side and then traverse out on the exposed eastern wall until you reach the top of the arch.

This route ascends the southwest corner beneath the tram.

One of the shortest routes to and from the Ancient. Although it looks scary and presents an interesting challenge for new players, it is not very difficult.

This route climbs up into the bushes near the dihedral and then traverses up and right on clearer holds.

This route climbs the back wall beneath the Shepherds house, just beside the tomatoes. Go straight up and out

This route is an extension of Walk The Plank. Instead of heading up the arete after the plank, continue left, aiming for the thin exposed slab that leads to the top

Begin in the dihedral just right of the first bivouac. Climb up for about 20 feet and then traverse left into the middle of the slab.

This route begins on the slab at the bottom of the far west end of The Two-Hundred steps. Traverse the slab far left toward a small ledge about ten feet below the overhanging flake. This flake is Hell with a view of Heaven

A rather difficult hidden gem climbs up an arete and through a chimney on the large boulder northeast of Mirror Lake. This was the first documented route at The Mirror.

This slab route is located behind a tall dead tree beneath the cave. It is the hardest climb on this middle tier of The Mirror.

This route traverses beneath the chute of TelTel Tower and climbs up to the top of it whilst staying close to the inner wall.

This route climbs directly above the door and leads up and over the center of The Great Roof.


From the western doorway that leads into The Ancient area, climb onto the wall, up to the roof and traverse out to the exposed edge. From there, it's a short climb to the top.

A desperate traverse left across a barren face in the middle of the Tarantula route leads to a far western cave.

This route climbs up the barren face above The Terraces western bicouac.

The longest pure slab route in the game, reaching from the bottom of The Child to the top of the large rock formations at The Mirror.

This route begins up a long arete on the second floor of The Vault and then traverse left until leading up and out.

This route climbs up the entire left arete of The Vault, paassing through several cruxy books.

This Route crosses paths with the western bee hive in The Standing Stones. Traverse the entire roof and head up toward the bivouac.

Climb the eastern exposed edge of the cave, traversing from left to right through the cracks before climbing up to the tram.

Climbs the nose of Split Rock starting with the roof. After that you’ll climb up through the vines and then onto another two longer aretes with no holds. From the top of the second one, slab climb up and right toward the waterfall base. Once inside turn left to crawl onto The Sharkfin.

This route climbs up the far-right side of The Vampire slab, then traverses right and up through a roof. After that it follows a series of aretes that leads to the top.

This route climbs the right corner at the start of Kami's ascent.

This route traverses as far left as possible at the start of Kami's ascent.

This route climbs solely the arete on the north side of the large and lonely boulder.

This route climbs the arete on the east side of the large and lonely boulder.

This route climbs solely the arete on the western side of the large boulder at The Escarpment.

Ferox reaches from the depths of The Secret's canyon to the top of The Secret's left tower.

This route climbs straight out of the deepest point of the massive cave in The Sea of Seracs.

This route climbs from the Village cave out toward the tooth-like pillars, and then goes up and out.

This route climbs up the far-left end of the Ancient and then traverse back through the roof and back out toward the exposed edge.

The longest route on Kami. It begins at the bottom of the Ancient and ends at the top of The Dome.

This route crosses diagonally across the entire Palace of Winds and The Peril walls.

This prestigious route is marked by the white line on The Vault's map. It climbs up the upper back wall of the vault, and traverses back outside.

This route follows the right outer edge of the tall chimney on the other side of the arch from the child. The goal is to follow that edge line all the way to the top. Lots of switching between long vertical rails.

This route begins about seventy-five feet above “End of The World” at a dying brown bush. You’ll know you’re getting close to the start when you pass the free-hanging piton just below. Once on the bushy platform, traverse the stalactites until you reach the pinnacle of the Dome’s foundation

The most vertical route in the Crystal Cave, and a fun, technical way up that most people will be able to climb up.

This route is located straight up the middle as you walk in the Crystal Cave. Probably the hardest route in the cave, but somewhat average among buffed routes.

A somewhat intriguing and mildly challenging buffed route in the Crystal Cave.

This route climbs the long vertical arete curving upward into the overhanging rocks, and then climbs up and over until you reach the top.

Begin above Backpack Ledge at the drawing from “Adam and Maud.” Head up the arete toward the crack system. The bottom is the tough, but it does go clean. The crux is the traverse right from the face into a crack and the several feet that follow. If you get through that, you’ll enter a series of cracks that end become very awkward about ten feet before the top.

This route climbs the massive slab on the far west side of the mountain. To get to the main slab, begin beyond the cableway station at a vertical crack beneath some vines. Climb up to the arete then traverse left onto the slab covered in leaves. Follow this up and over the edge onto the main slab. Once on the slab, do your best to navigate the wall’s bumps and dishes to reach the top. All holds are off route except the very top

Traverses the outer western edge of the cave then turns back to climb up beneath the grass.

This long route traverse along the eastern side of TelTel Tower into the dihedral and finishes at the upper ledge.

Shares the start with The Coffin and Carousel but continues up into the right-most waving hand-crack at the top. As long as you pass the traverse leading to the Coffin and stay right, you’ll get into this crack. You should come out standing over the Gentian, just right of the falls

This is the obvious route in the dihedral near the waterfall. It leads up and past the bee hive.

After passing beneath the arch, you’ll see some vines hanging down on your left. Begin there. As you climb you’ll be traversing up and right toward the dihedral beneath the cave. From there go straight up into the cave. The second pitch is harder but optional. From the cave go straight up toward the top.

Garrador ascends the furthest right side of The Arch area, where claw-like rock features protrude from the mountain. There's an easier version by avoiding the traverse right in the middle of the route.

Climb the most prominent western slab and arete on the west face of Kami.

This route is located at the far west end of Kami, above The Imacculate’s bivouac, but just below Kami’s bivouac. It is the final difficult climb on the mountain. Begin on the small arete furthest to the right. It will lead up into a roof. Traverse the roof to the right, then head up an overhanging flake to another roof. Traverse that roof left until you can climb upward again. Finish out to the right.

This route traverses over the cave’s mouth on the far east side of The Sea of Seracs.

On the eastern side of The Blades are two bridges of ice. Walk across the nearest one (Iced Latte) to the wall of hanging bodies. Climb up towards the climb-bot that’s hanging about 150 feet above. You’ll notice that—with the exception of one small area—this entire route remains on rock only. Let that guide you. After paying your respects to the fallen, climb up and out. Watch out though. I thought I heard gunshots….

This route climbs the underside of the ice bridge east of the cave.

This route ascends the black slab on the west side of the left tower.

Climbs the immediate hand crack above the bivouac. Short and sweet.

This route spirals counter-clockwise around the Needle's most featureless sections.

Davy Jone's Locker was once the hardest slab route on Kami. It remains now as only a brutal reminder of a simpler time. Don't get too confident, nearly all who attempt it still fall into the abyss below.

Begin on Body Horror at the wide diagonal crack beneath the stalactites. Follow Body Horror up until you reach the stalactite that leads into Body Horror’s chimney. Instead of going up, cut right far across the wall until you’re above Pazuzu’s second roof. Follow Pazuzu’s route until you would normally cut right to the last stalactite. Instead, cut left to the left stalactite. Step up again onto the next left stalactite, and follow that one up beneath the roof’s left side. Traverse right beneath the roof to top out where Crown of Thorns ends.

At the far west end of The Palace of Winds is a flake that rises up toward the stalactites. Bring axes.

The lower section is a long and easy edge. The upper section has no holds, so it is a little bit tricky. Applying maple fudge on hands and feet helps a lot, hence the name.

This short route climbs the face beside the broken ladder at the far east end of The Two-Hundred Steps.

Begin at the foot of the steps on the leftern arete. Climb up the arete and then traverse the long roof to get onto the slab. Move left across the slab to eventually gain another arete. Climb this one and gain traverse left. At the end of this traverse you’ll come to three aretes. Climb across each heading up and left to reach a high boulder. Go left around the boulder and then summit on the back side.

Climb across the gorge on backside of the ridge to reach the bridge. There are two ending variations: Ending at the top of the pinched boulder, or going beneath the bridge to end at the far wall.

This route leads straight up and out of The Vault before traversing far to the right to reach The Mirror.

This route starts in the dihedral left of Change and moves up through the roofs, then out of The Vault.

A beautiful and short overhanging crack climb that presents a true challenge in finding beta for rests and a hard crux sequence.

This Route climbs the face leading up to the goats and sneaks around left. Going straight up is less contrived and easier, but you won’t catch any goats that way.

Originally an overhanging test piece by Azizi, now a completed work and absolute classic. Aziz’z original ending was good, but with Dragos’s discovery of a potential top-out, what was once thought impossible became legend.
