Route Info
Start on the far side of Ruka island down at the bottom landing of the rappel rope where Otto’s Room is carved into the rock. You will see the starting holds where the main solid ground falls away.
The first section is a short, fairly relaxed downward traversal across some blocky bulges heading towards the waterline.
As you approach the waterline and transition from the slab face and round the corner to the overhanging formation, larger cutouts and negative space break up the blocky faces. The crux is along this overhanging face. The footholds are tight and the blockiness of the rock can lead to a false sense of security.
After the crux you follow the same low waterline foothold climbing line and wrap around to the internal overhanging wall of Ruka. Follow the line to the left to the nearest sand bar.
