thanks again, last hicciup, getting a 404 error when attempting to link discord when editing my profile

Iβll look onto it. Itβs probably a permissions issue. Quick fix but Iβm not home. Will be fixed soon.

Is it possible to log multiple completions of the same route. ( Recording and setting a time etc )

You. Can right-click the log here and edit or delete the log and redo it. Iβm probably going to redo the entire log system soon as well, but Iβm ironing out major bugs and features first. Perhaps next week for that.

I think you should be able to log multiple completions too.

@Diff When you get a chance, try the Discord again and let me know if you're still getting that 404 page.

@Diff I don't know WHO told you the change for adding multiple logs would be next week, but it wasn't me. I would have said "Yes, sir, right away sir, " and promptly added that feature.... which is exactly what happened. You can now log multiple sends of the same route.

@everyone To those of you who have been working on your ticklists, I've improved the ticklist page. Now, clicking the checkbox on a route opens a quick-modal. It will let you log routes more quickly by not taking you away from the page.

I've also updated the log tags so that each is highlighted only when you've done the best you can possibly do for that specific tag and route.edited

@everyone One day left for the route setting comp. Prize for this comp is Cairn Digial Deluxe Upgrade for Steam! If you already have or are on console, a prize of equivalent value can be arranged.

The game and Aava are so mad at me for trying to be creative. Sigh

@everyone The route-setting competition routes have all been set! Go vote for your favorite now at https://cairncatalogue.com/cairn-project/competitions/route-settingedited

@everyone I've added a compare option to the ticklists. You can now compare your ticklists with other climbers side by side to see which routes they've done and you haven't, or vice versa.edited

@everyone I'm not sure how many of you knew this, but interior areas are now listed here: https://cairncatalogue.com/field-guide/interior-areas

Do we still have a chance to vote?

I thought voting was open for a week

@diegosg18 Yes! Iβve extended the voting period for all future route-setting competitions for an additional 48 hours!

@ManInAWhiteSuit would you consider adding an "Open Project" among the tags with King Line, Aid, etc. Here people could post potential routes that they may not be able to do but would like to share it with the community

Just like Pazuzu was an open project essentially until Virgil sent it. It could be a fun way to motivate each other

Interesting idea, but rather than create a tag for it, post it here. Put pics. Ask people to try it. The best way to get community engagement is right here in the community. The route catalogue is reserved for published routes and historical records.

Hey everyone what do you think is the benchmark 7a route

That's a good question actually. It's been so long for me, I'm not sure I remember anymore.

@everyone Registration for the first ever Least Falls Competition opens TONIGHT at midnight PST. You have plenty of time to sign up! This is our biggest competition category and will conclude with a LIVE streaming head-to-head event. Please get your seat early if you can compete but read the sign-up sheet BEFORE committing. I don't want anyone to get banned for no-showing. Hope to see 10/10 seats filled by Thursday night!
So with the fewest falls competion. Everybody does the Same route? They all find out what it is at the same time? How many attempts do they get

There are two rounds. The first round is the qualifying round. Players submit a YouTube video of their ascent, admins will score it based on falls, chalk, and speed. The two qualifiers with the best submission scores will move on to the final live head-to-head event. You will both be sent to a scheduling room where you can both agree on a time. Once you both agree, you simply show up on time using the link provided, and host your livestream to it. At the start of the event, you will be given a new route. You have three attempts to climb it live. The person who does the best, wins.edited

Congrats @Virgil for winning of the route-setting competition! The People have spoken. Beer for Breakfast is a stroke of genius. See the results here: https://cairncatalogue.com/cairn-project/competitions/route-setting

@ManInAWhiteSuit , still no luck with discord. i end up back at profile page. adress bar ends: profile/edit?discord=error

@Diff If you could send me screenshots on Discord I would appreciate it. I'm not sure why you're not getting access. I'll continue to work on it, but screenshots will really help me.

@Diff I've updated the URL to show a better error explanation. So try connecting again and send me the new URL it gives you. That way I can pinpoint the issue.

sent your discord a screen capture of the process

For those who climbed Hold My Beer - what did y out think of the grade? I gave it 7b just looking for feedbackedited

One person said 7a+

what time? and or time-zone? are finals likely to be held generally ?

You schedule it with the other person in the scheduling room. You'll both choose all your available times and then select one that works for both of you. Live stream should take roughly an hour.

what game difficulty and or save states are common practice for route climbs and or competitions ?

@Diff Try the Discord thing again. I added another env variable to Vercel and it should work now. Also, you can use whatever difficulty you like. You cannot use infinite gear, but you can use autosave to save your place nearby. I would leave a file saved with a ton of buffs at The Dome for all comps. Make sure to keep you buffs in flower form otherwise she'll drink it at the cutscene. Once there just leave that file alone for the comp.

Also, turn off survival.

discord: i'm in :)

Thank you again for being patient and thanks for the help!

no worries

i only have my primary alpinist ascent, and no other deep active climbs past the village yet. So i've been using Evandar's free solo speed run saves for spawn points and just sleeping off the buffs before climbing

kinda could be cool if there was a communal save for a couple of comps possibly

Alpinist is fine. Feel free to get to The Dome however you like. There are no rules against that. Just make sure you have at least 30 min buffs in case the route requires it.

I wish. But for console players, that sort of excludes them.

mostly just ultimate infusion?

Yes exactly, but DO NOT mix them. Leave them in flower form otherwise she'll drink them at the cutscene.

I'm making a detailed field guide page right now that explains all of this and more. It will be released by midnight tonight.

@everyone There is now additional competition info in the field guide. Here is the link: https://cairncatalogue.com/field-guide/cairn-projects
