Cairn Catalogue is built around routes, but the site does more than simply list them.
You can research routes, keep track of what you have climbed, document your own ascents, view player records, talk with other climbers, join competitions, and explore statistics about climbing throughout Cairn.

The Routes page is the main directory for everything currently documented in the Catalogue.

Browse RoutesSort
Reorder routes by difficulty, elevation from low to high or high to low, or by FA, FR, and FC record holder.
Filter by Area
Narrow the Catalogue to routes from a specific area.
Filter by Tags
Use route tags to show only the types and styles of routes you are looking for.

Profile
Every player has a unique profile. It shows the records they have earned, their published routes, and links to their Ticklist.

The Ticklist acts as a checkoff sheet for routes in the Catalogue, giving you a simple way to keep track of the routes you have completed.

Record an Ascent
Log A Route
Logging a route lets you check it off your Ticklist. When you want to, you can also share that logged ascent with the Community.

Climb a Catalogue route, log it, and it becomes part of your personal climbing record.
Live Community
Community
Community is the live chat area for Cairn Catalogue users. It works similarly to a Discord chat, giving climbers a shared place to talk in real time.
It also acts as the public feed for route logs that users choose to share. If you decide to share a logged ascent, it can appear alongside the conversation in Community.

Cairn Project is where competitions, events, and Jams take place.

Cairn Stats

Notifications are used when Cairn Catalogue needs to give you an update about something you submitted or joined.
Route Reviews
Find out when a submitted route has been approved or rejected.

Notifications are not a separate part of the Catalogue to explore. They are there to surface information when something relevant to your account happens.
